Happy Birthday Atari 2600!
Today we celebrate the birthday of the grandpa of video games, the Atari 2600. I shudder to think that I remember getting my 2600 when it first came out. I even have a picture of myself at the tender age of ten, clutching excitedly on to the box along with my kid brother, thinking it was the greatest thing that had ever happened to us. Little did I know that it would end up leading to a life long addiction leaving me with an empty wallet and bad eyesight.
So, Happy Birthday Atari 2600! Thanks for all you've done to create several generations of poor, blind, arthritic hand ridden geeks. Without you, we are nothing.

pshaw, that pic of the 2600 is the newer version - the older one had the difficulty switches as toggles on the front right next to the select and "color or black and white" switches. hahaha.
