Impulse Buy: Go! Sports Ski

A few days ago, while surfing the PlayStation Store, I downloaded the latest in the Go! series of games, Go! Sports Ski. I couldn't resist with the $2.99 price tag. When I went to check out, the store wouldn't allow such a small purchase alone, the minimum is $5.00, so I decided to get Rampart also because I loved the original trackball arcade version.
For the skinny price tag of $2.99, I definitely got my money's worth. The game is a snow skiing "simulation" that is completely controlled by the SIXAXIX controls. Overall, it works really well. To turn right, you lean the controller to the right, same with the left. To make a tight turn, lean the controller and pull back. To move forward, tilt forward, and to jump, quickly flick the controller upwards. The motion controls are really tight, and after a few runs, you will get the hang of it.
Surprisingly the game has some great online support with time trials, battle runs and slaloms. You can even download ghost runs of the top skiers from the online leaderboards.
There are only two tracks right now, but for $2.99 you really can't complain. Hopefully there will be some expansions, like they did with the Go! Puzzle series.
I would recommend this purchase while you wait for Everyday Shooter to hit the store this week.
