It's Official: Okami Coming To Wii

The right loverly blokes at Eurogamer bring us another joyous bit of how's-your-father: Capcom, who's all about announcements lately, told a group of Londoners this week that PS2 fave Okami will indeed be coming to the Wii. This is awesome, because as anyone who's enjoyed Okami can attest, it's a game that was destined for the Wiimote. How the controls will be implemented is still unknown, but you can bet your Spotted Dick that Ammy's Celestial Brush will be motion-sensorriffic.
You can also expect "motion controlled physical attacks," which, given the pacing of Okami's battles, could be utterly awesome. Shake that Wiimote, wolfy!
I don't quite know how to feel about the late Clover Studios' role in all this. They did make the game, after all. This must be a bittersweet accolade - or perhaps just a sweet one.
Okami confirmed for Wii [Eurogamer]

While I will likely buy Okami for my Wii, I am still miffed that all these PS2 games are just being ported on over to the Wii.
At least Capcom is doing the conversion. They did a wonderful job with RE4, and they should program the brushstrokes with the Wiimote in mind.
I've been saying that Okami should be on the WII since I first played it. However thought the first few chapters of Okami are good it just gets very odd and weird. Made it a little too unbelievable. Maybe that's just me.
I've spent countless hours playing through this game and would gladly purchase the game again. The remote's aim will obviously provide a better drawing interaction than the sticks. Anything extra is icing on the cake!
It's good to see that this game is getting a second chance.
This is terrific news. I've been hoping for this announcement for months.
I love Okami! I would gladly buy it again for the Wii.
Loverly? Spotted Dick? You had fun with those English references in this one, didn't you? :)
