London Games Festival Kicks Off This Monday
From Monday 22nd October the London Games Festival kicks off at various locations around the city. For those who pitch their tent this side of the pond, the festival promises to offer the same great standard of content seen last year. The program of previews, talks, workshops and round-table discussions has something for everyone, and it's certainly interesting how the festival moves beyond speaking to already committed gamers, to include people from outside the gaming community.
The Festival will feature a series of diverse events in different venues for different audiences. Whether you’re a gamer, a parent needing advice on games, someone working in the industry, or someone wanting to find out more about how games work and where the future of entertainment will take us, this is a festival for you.
There is plenty to do, with a rich mix of recruitment, development and education forums taking place. And to all those gamegrrls out there, why not come and say hi at the Women and Games Mixer on Tuesday the 23rd, where some of the brightest and best of the fairer sex can be found talking about games, drinking free wine, and planning (alongside a choice selection of gaygamers no doubt) a scheme for gameworld domination!
