Nanostray 2 Wreaks Destruction In Early 2008

A while back, we had some news that Nanostray 2, sequel to one of the most underrated DS games, was under development. We even had a screenshot or two. The first Nanostray featured fast-paced shooter action with a pretty sweet soundtrack. I'm looking forward to the release of the second one. For now, it's set for release in early 2008 and has been developed by Shin'en. Here are some of Nanostray 2's features:
A top-down, sci-fi shooter, Nanostray 2 features six game modes, including two-player co-op, two-player vs, Challenge (with 30+ different missions) and the brand new Simulator (go high-score hunting in four futuristic games). With both horizontal and vertical viewpoints that offer more variety between levels, Nanostray 2 also includes multiple control schemes and configurable weapons that are a necessity to defeat the game’s 16 formidable bosses. In addition, players can upload their scores via Nintendo’s Wi-Fi Connection so they can see how they rank against the best.
I'd put up the screenshots, which look pretty good, but there are so many that I don't quite have the time to do them all. Look for them later this evening. If you would like to see the press release, make the jump.
