New Gamespot Boss Probably Loves Boobs

GameSetWatch stifles a chortle and points out that the new Executive Vice President of CNET Networks, Stephen Colvin, was formerly president and CEO of Dennis Publishing, the company behind American lad mags Maxim, Stuff, and Blender. In theory, that gives him purview over all CNET operations, including TV.com, MP3.com, and, most relevant to this post, GameSpot. I'm sure the guy will have a lot on his plate spread across all of the CNET sites, but with the rising profile of video games, it's almost as if this hire is a little too on-the-nose. Maybe someone said, "Hey, guys like videogames, guys like mostly naked women... if only we could find one person to squish them together!"
To be fair, no one has said anything about sexing up Gamespot, which hasn't really tried to compete with the raw eroticism of IGN's Chobot or 1up.com's Minnie. Still, don't be surprised if you see Ryan Davis in a half top and short shorts during his next video review.
GameSpot Overseer's New Vision Via... Maxim? [GameSetWatch]

I would most definitely accept the gift of Ryan in short shorts and a halter top.
