Pinball FX Catches Pirate Mania

Ever since Pirates of the Caribbean made it's way from a theme park ride to the silver screen, the nation, nay the world has been gripped in a pirate mania. The franchise proved to be so popular that Disney even added Captain Jack Sparrow and Captain Barbossa figures to it's popular ride. (Asterick and I saw them at Disneyland and they were quite good) Well now, Zen Studios is getting on the pirate train (or ship if you will) by adding a new pirate themed table to its video pinball offering, Pinball FX.
Now, let it be known that I am a pinball freak and Pinball FX is one of the best, if not the best video version of pinball I've ever played. I have been waiting patiently for a new table to arrive and now it come in the form of The Buccaneer. And the best news is... it's FREE for download on XBLA! So, walk, don't run to your 360 and download The Buccaneer now and get your pirate pinball fix!

You know - I want to love Pinball FX. It's one of the few XBLA games I own, and the tables are gorgeous and all. But I just can't seem to get into it.
I think it's because I can't tell what's going on. Yes - I'm old enough to remember when Pinnies (as we called them) were the main attraction down at the pool hall, before Space Invaders showed up, and I used to play them whenever I could rustle up the money - but these digital ones confuse me.
I think it's because I can't see the table clearly enough (even with the 50" tv). I'm not sure what light goes on when and what it means, I miss the instructions that flash up on the display because I'm too busy watching the ball(s) - I think I need some sort of overview of what ramp does what and what flashing bumper I should be aiming for.
I don't need complete hand-holding (though that can be nice sometimes) - just a few pointers on where to place my balls.

If anyone cares, the Disney World animatronics of Barbossa and Sparrow are pretty good, too... then again, I imagine they're the same. :)
(no, I know the rides are quite different... I just meant they built both of the "robots" the same)
