Smash Bros. Brawl: Level Editor!

editoryay.jpg

Squee, level editors! Nintendo has been rather forthcoming on the features with this title. I know I tend to gush on it a bit, and most of the updates have been mostly inconsequential but you attach the prefix "meta" to anything and I'm all over it.

Most of the editor is simple. The environment options consist of size, background music and picture, name and a short comment about the stage. Users can then place simple template objects like floors, ramps, spikes and ladders on a grid system, and then proceed to smear their favorite characters across the pristine surfaces.

There appears to be a user submission mode. Once a day a level will be selected which every player will be able to download and use freely. There has been no word if the custom levels will be used across online battles.

Ok ok, so it's Smash Bros. Brawl., new environments can only add so much life to the game. Unlike most platform titles, Smash Bros. character have insane agility and once you've discovered all the tricks I'm sure that it will just be a matter of simply avoiding things. When you combine this with the online multi-player action, I'm sure it will make the feature somewhat more useful.

Level editing is fine..
It brings me one step closer to believing the most awesome of awesomeness would actually happen..

The ability to fight as your Mii.

Please.. please tell me that will be happening in this game.

This is the feature I wanted the most. Awesome!

@Ryan, I hope that Nintendo is smart enough to realize just how obvious/incredible it would be to fight as your Mii. [fingers crossed]

Total awesomeness!

Although, if I had to choose between the countless bells and whistles we are assured with Smash Bros, and the game being released sooner, I'd choose the latter :/

Across-the-board game delays from every corner of the industry are starting to get really, really old.

And girls who like girls who like rumble packs!
