Spyro Goes To The Movies

Spyro, the little purple dragon of prophecy, will be making his film debut soon. According to DarkHorizons, The Animation Picture Co. has "optioned the feature rights to Sierra Entertainment's "Spyro the Dragon" franchise with plans to produce a stereoscopic 3-D computer-animated feature reports the trades." The film's story follows Spyro on a journey of self-discovery while he deals with an epic battle against evil and realizing his own potential. Steve and Daniel Altiere (Dr. Dolittle 4) will adapt the screenplay from the trilogy. As of yet, there has been no director selected for this adaptation. Any suggestions?

Werner Herzog...or maybe David Lynch.
Quentin Tarantino.
Well, I'd really like to see Spyro burn a man alive so Mel Gibson.
Wait . . . there was a Doctor Dolittle 4?
Oh, and I didn't know Spyro was ever that popular to begin with. Is ANYONE actually interested in a Spyro movie? Or is it just that parents will buy any cartoon they possible can to sit their kids in front of while they go smoke a joint in the bathroom? (No, seriously, they will.)
Dr Doolittle 4?!
We might as well hold a funeral for Spyro now.
Wow, that sounds utterly terrible. I wish to see it for that exact reason.
unless it's being done by John Lasseter or Brad Bird, i don't have much hope for it...
They're gonna ruin Spyro. :(
...
Oh shut up, it was my first 3-D game. >.
