The Finally Final Rock Band Set List

rockband-02.jpg

The rock gods have finally stepped down from high to bring us the final Rock Band launch set list. Forty-five songs fill out the list with an addition thirteen unlisted songs that can be unlocked throughout the game. For me there is always one or two songs on the list that make a music game a must buy for me and Rock Band is overflowing with "must play" titles, the foremost being the original The Sweet version of Ballroom Blitz. I remember being excited seeing Ballroom Blitz on Guitar Hero 80's and thinking I was going to get to play The Sweet and then being terribly disappointed finding out it was the clearly inferior (gag) Crocus version. Not that Guitar Hero is a slouch in the awesome song department, I must have played Barracuda at least twenty five times now and yes I'm still talking about Barracuda.

To see the entire set list make the jump and be sure to note that any songs marked with an asterisk are cover versions while the rest of the extensive list are original recordings.

GH3's track list was a step up, I thought, but Rock Band's is even more impressive, although the total number of songs is less.

I'm still anxious to see how online co-op play and mic quality pan out. I imagine that technically it might be difficult to avoid, but if vocals sound like people are singing through a Live headset -- I'll pass.

Wait, wait, wait. Where's "Welcome to the Jungle"?! You can't tease us with GnR in the first vid and then take it out of the game! I am TOTALLY gonna riot all over this place if it's not one of the unlockable songs.

Holy crap, they have a Coheed & Cambria song on there!? I love that song! AND they have OK Go too! Oh man, I may actually have to get this... once they come out with the unbundled version. And I get a 360 or PS3...

The Pixies's, Wave of Mutilation was on Doolittle released in 1989, not 2000. Oh yeah, get off my lawn, kids.

im really loving that certain tracks are on there (Reptilia, Maps, Wave of Mutliation) but i wish they had gone with different songs for Bowie, Clash, and a few others.

still a great list however, and i cant wait to try it.

i'm a little curious as to why both games have at least 5 of the same songs, and also as to why one of those common songs is Sabotage, ftw.

i'm still a little worried that i won't be getting wireless play for the guitars. so i'm still not up for buying it yet. in addition, and this is kind of weird, we got the "demo" in our store inventory the other day. which in fact turned out to be the full version and so we couldn't put it out on the floor yetm but the package comes with a 4:1 USB hub.
they are also offering a 4:1 hub for the PS3, we have that in stock as well. now i recall reading the PS3 will be wireless, so why would it need one.

And girls who like girls who like rumble packs!
