Video: Suda51 Has No More Heroes
Goichi Suda, AKA Suda51, founder of game studio Grasshopper Manufacture talks to GameVideos director Mark MacDonald about No More Heroes as well as the unannounced 360 action game his studio's already working on.
Suda51 talks about the scarcity of buttons on the Wiimote - and making motion control solve that problem while still being fun to play. (You can even see the one-handed version of the pud-pounding you must execute to recharge your fluorescent bulb energy katana.) His spin on designing games for Western audiences and tweaking them for the Japanese - rather than adapting Japanese games for the West - is fascinating to hear. From what I played of No More Heroes, Suda51's tale of PoMo brutality set in Santa Destroy, California is a grown-up Wii game to keep your eyes on.
