Video: US Phantom Hourglass Commercial
The only question on my mind is, 'Why am I not playing this game right now?' Actually, why are you even reading this, or watching this commercial? Thanks for the support and all, but really, this is the new Zelda game, in the palm of your hand. You should be playing this always and forever. Take it everywhere, to the DMV, grocery store, church, shooting range, wherever you have time to kill.
Who is playing Phantom Hourglass now? Tell everyone what you think. Feel free to post your impressions below, as sit in my envious non-zelda playing sad little throne. :(

God. Payday cannot come quick enough. This game looks fantastic.
Well, it's fun, and the stylus-based controls are interesting. However, sometimes they get a little confusing (I can't exactly run around, snipe with my bow and arrow, and keep running), and previous Zelda fingering reflexes are out the window. The note-taking theme is pretty cool, too. The Ocean Temple's numerous floors... will get old with me, I think.
My ship's got three Demon Ship parts. Ooh, spooky.
("Press your sea chart to transfer the seal." Okay, that was creative, but since the function normally does something completely different, it took forever for me to figure out)
I want that business man in the suit!
Got this game last night and it is a total Fungasm.
Just got this game today. I soent most of the afternoon playing it I beat the first temple. It's so awesome!
Bought it last night and, as Spaz put it, "a total Fungasm." Couldn't have said it better myself.
yeah, it's pretty terrific. the controls are marvelously intuitive (with the exception of rolling, which takes some practice), particularly the genius of the boomerang. i spend half my time just cutting grass with the boomerang, actually.
and the note-taking function of the map is genius.
picked it up yesterday. i love using the boomerang to see around blind corners. and the opening storybook animation made me giggle.
but whats up with this commercial? its like urban outfitters meets LOTR.
It really is good. It impressed me a lot, as I honestly didn't think it would work but it does work really well. The controls do take some getting use to, but once master it is second nature.
My Only gripe is that the stylus and my hand can cover the screen when I move the stylus towards the left edge.
Nintendo has had an exceptionally good track record with their adverts - my only sadness stems from the voice-over selection. But it's a good call demonstrating how the game is supposed to be played - in various open areas, on the way to various places. I don't think it's a common idea in the northern americas to play games outside the house.
I'll have to track down a few of the Japanese adverts, with their DS ownership at 40%Pop and the idea of mobile gaming prevalent in the culture, and compare.
