Wipeout HD Loses Features
The downloadable Wipeout HD is being downscaled to accommodate the potential release. It seems that some of the features, most notably the community support, is being axed. Say sayonara to the community website, where it would have allowed players to create a profile and check out the stats of other players.
Some of the racing styles have been eliminated also, including the Elimination and Head to Head races. See ya!
And the Photo Mode is gone, that would have allowed for in-game screenshots. Which is probably not that big of a deal, because why would you want to do anything but race during a game? Looking at screenshots of a race is not nearly as interesting as recording ghost data and replays.
It is a shame that the game is being taken to the shredder. Would you rather these features be implemented slowly through patches and expansions so the game can make a reasonable street date, or the game pushed back until everything is working? I’m hoping that these features will eventually make their way back into the game at some point. Eliminating them entirely does a great disservice to the game.

Yes, more features would have been better than less. However, isn't this remake just supposed to be a stop-gap until they make a proper sequel? I thought I read that somewhere. As long as they scale down the price as much as they sale down the features, I'll be okay with it.

i'd rather have my Wipeout now and patched later.
