Amazon Poll For Three Cheap Consoles

It looks like Amazon is repeating last year's popular promotion whereby users can vote on which deals they would most like to see this holiday. Once the results have been tallied, one-thousand customers are selected at random (from the voters) to purchase the winning item at the deal price. The video game round is up first and voters will be choosing between three lucrative deals. Those lucky voters selected will be purchasing either a $79 Wii, a $99 Xbox 360 or a $129 PS3 (40GB). The Sony's PS3 is the best deal of the three as far as money saved, but I am sure that Nintendo and Microsoft's consoles will get their fair share of votes.
All voting must be completed by November 20th, so be sure get over to Amazon and make your voices heard!

My favorite set is the last one which consists of a 40 inch 1080p HDTV, a mixer, and one of those vacuum robots. As much as I voted for a new mixer (need for the kitchen) the TV kicked ass in that vote.
Unfortunately, I don't think the console vote is going by 'best deal'. The Wii has by far the most votes, not because its a better deal, but because it gives its voters a chance at buying a console which is guaranteed to be in short supply this season.
I voted for the PS3, as a cool $129 makes that console very VERY appealing.
I'm curious how accurate the "see current results" are. I've watched it for 2 days and they haven't changed from (55% Wii, 31% PS3, 14% XBOX360)
More casual players would never think about buying a 360 or a PS3, no matter how good valued it is compared to the original price.
If a Wii is what I want, that is what I will vote for, and it doesn't matter if the best deal is actually the PS3 package. It's like value offers at the supermarket - just because it's better value doesn't mean you -need- to get it, although I have a few friends who would buy anything that's on sale. :)
BTW, is this vote only for Americans?
I agree Mudd. I don't think anyone is really looking at it by "most money saved" at all. It kind of devolved into a popularity contest last year, too. I got my Wii last December, so I take for granted that some people are still having a hard time finding them.
Going out on a limb here, If I had to suggest any one console to a new gamer, I would recommend the Xbox 360.
I actually voted based on "most money saved."
Out of curiosity, since I didn't pay attention to this thing last year, do they give away all three to the people who voted for that one. Or do they only give away the ones that win the vote?
CJG - Yeah, they only sell the winner at the at the advertised price, and you have to have voted for it in order to get a chance to buy it. At the date and time that it's due to be sold (November 22 after 12:01am PT, in this case), you can go to the site and see if you've qualified. If I understand the rules correctly, only a random selection of voters will be offered the deal, so even if you voted for the winner, you still might not get a chance to buy it.
There will be smaller, less impressive deals for a random selection of people who voted for the losing consoles. They haven't revealed that pricing yet, and you'll still have to go to the site on November 22 to see if you've been selected to buy one of the "runner up" specials.
