Captain Picard Loves His DS

As Nintendo ramp up their DS advertising for Christmas, Star Trek fans will be gleeful to hear that sexy-voiced Patrick Stewart is lined up to star in their new UK adverts.
Joining many other big name stars such as Nicole Kidman and well.... Nicole Kidman really, Stewart will no doubt be lauding the DS for all it's fantastic games and the fun that can be had with it. There are other 'stars' lined up, but outside of the UK, they probably won't mean much. For those readers in the UK, the list includes Julie Walters, Phillip Schofield, Fern Britton, Zoe Ball and Johnny Ball.
The DS will at least be one system from Nintendo that will be available over the Christmas period. At the moment trying to get a Wii there is almost impossible. Maybe Nintendo don't need to spend as much money on big star endorsements as they think.

What I'd like to know is what that picture of Patrick Stewart is from. Is he wearing a gay pride/furry shirt in that? @_@
If memory (aided by google) serves, it's from the movie Jeffrey. Patrick Stewart's character and his partner, played by Mad Men's Brian Batt) are members of a group called the Pink Panthers. See some clips here.
they dont neeeeed to, but why not?
and just a side note:

I found the book, play and movie pretty annoying, but Stewart's work in it (the flippant, catty parts like the one depicted above, and the devastated, bitter parts later in the film) gave the picture some much-needed depth and impressed me a lot more than he did in 7 years of Star Trek.
Also, if nothing else, Americans who enjoy fantasy should know Julie Walters as Mrs Weasley in the Harry Potter movies.
Yeah, I saw Patrick and Julie in the advert the other night!
"Joining many other big name stars such as Nicole Kidman and well.... Nicole Kidman really..."
Not to be too nitpicky, but some of the early DS ads in Japan had Utada Hikaru and she's a pretty big star although not quite Patrick Stewart or Kidman level. She's also a super-Tetris player. There a video on Youtube of her playing against Nintendo's Tetris assassins. Can't remember if she won though.
