DSVision: DS Downloadable Content Card Revealed

In a previous article I had mentioned a rumor that Nintendo was developing a flash cartridge to bring downloadable content to the Nintendo DS. It was recently confirmed that M3 (a company that has developed numerous development and media products without license for the DS) has signed an agreement with Nintendo in association with Dai Nippon to produce just that. DSvision is something we can all look forward to in the upcoming months.
DSvision is a DS Slot-1 product, which comes bundled with a 512MB microSD card and a high-speed transflash to USB adapter. Users will be able to purchase content direct from Nintendo and the package will cost approximately £18 ($37.23). Content will range from comics, books, movies, music and possibly even games (guess based on the press photos). Little is known about the price point of the DLC. The service and product is set to roll out sometime this March.
I'm most interested to see what impact this will have on M3's prior product lineup. Considering that all of their products were not licensed, I find it hard to believe that Nintendo would work with them without signing some no-competition agreement or something. Regardless, this product looks like it could be well worth the investment.

DSvision: Official download service for Nintendo DS revealed [nintendic (product shots)]

Oh my God, oh my God, oh my God! This week is just getting better and better!
And yet another reason to pick up a DS this holiday season. I just bought my fourth DS and have one more to get before Christmas.
Where did I put the "IT PRINTS MONEY!" graphic?
While this certainly has potential to be cool, it really will all come down to the quality of the content that will be made available. Needless to say, the potential for piracy with something like this is staggering, so I'm pretty surprised that Nintendo is going along with something like this; especially with a company that has been making similar products for a while now and practically advertising them as tools for piracy!
Well, M3 already makes tools that can be used for piracy. My guess is that Nintendo is going to require that the system no be reconfigurable to allow MicroSD space to be mapped to the NDS cart bus. That would prevent piracy unless someone patched the roms.
Considering the number of tools already available to pirate DS games, it's unlikely anyone will bother.
Hopefully they'll have some sort of points cards for this like WII.
