Leading Hollywood Stars to Voice Beowulf Video Game

Ubisoft have just announced that both Anthony Hopkins and Ray Winstone will be providing their voices and likeness to the upcoming Beowulf video game. They'll be joining other actors (Brendan Gleeson and Sebastien Roche) from the animated movie in adding some authenticity to the Paramount Pictures and Shangri-La Entertainment's collaboration with Ubisoft.
This is the first time either of the actors have been involved in voicing a video game, but is an important nod to the respect certain video games are getting now from the acting profession. Either that or they were paid a huge lump of cash to come onboard. Winstone was noted as saying: "This is the first time I've worked on a video game, and I must say it was one of the hardest working days of my career" - Ubisoft work them hard it would seem.
For those of you who aren't aware of the Beowulf story, the game will follow the same format as the movie, but will allow gamers to delve deeper into the characters and their personal stories. The game is currently in development for the Xbox 360, PS3, PSP and PC. It's being developed by the same guys that are responsible for Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter and is scheduled for a worldwide release this month to coincide with the movie opening. Now if only they could have convinced Angelina Jolie to voice her character in the game as she did in the movie.

My husband and I both started laughing uncontrollably when we saw the trailer for this movie. It is LOTR with worse make-up and unforgivably bad CGI.
I feel sorry for the developers that have to make a game out of this shit.
Haha, from the two things I've read from you, Gadget Girl (a comment on your welcome post and this), I gather you have somewhat of a massive crush on Angelina...I guess its hard not to. Anyways, have fun writing junks.
