Video: Opoona Bound For The U.S.?
Koei, the famed maker of historical strategy games such as the Romance of the Three Kingdoms series, released Opoona, a cell shaded RPG, and even got some good scores. What wasn't so great were it's sales figures. The game simply screams adorable and beckons me to try it out. It loosely reminds of Pikmin meets Lego Star Wars in its style. As you will notice, the trailer is the same as the original, but this time it has English subtitles and is capped with a Spring 2008 date at the end of it. Is this a sign this cutie of a game is coming our way? I can only hope.

Great! The Wii needs some RPGs, so this is very welcome. I just hope it's good! Obviously the graphics are at the quality of a middling PS2 game so that's clearly not the game's high point, but if it can overcome that with a good story and fun gameplay, I'd be happy to check it out when it becomes available.
I'd love to see this game come stateside. I'm still bummed we never got GiftPia on the Gamecube....
