Pokémon Teach Science!

Nintendo has released some quasi-educational games, like Brain Age and My Spanish Coach, but now they've got Pikachu teaching science class!
Seriously, Nintendo and The National Institute of Aerospace and Nortel LearniT have joined forces to make it fun for kids to learn science using characters and images they're already comfortable with. You can check it out yourself at www.masterthescience.org, where Pokémon characters are used as examples of scientific principles.
"We're honored to have our characters take what sometimes may seem like dry topics and help make them come alive for students," says George Harrison, Nintendo of America's senior vice president of marketing and corporate communications. "The collaboration provides an opportunity for children to learn 21st century science using 21st century tools with characters they're familiar with."
Maybe this is exactly what I could've used to get through physics class... hm... But what's next? Cooking Mama teaching Home Ec? Italian lessons with Mario? The possibilities are endless!

Here you'll see Pikachu teaching the kids about God, Adam, Eve and the dangers of evolution... that is, without a thunder stone.
Nintendo is way behind on this one. I was using doodles of Pokemon in my notebooks way back in sixth grade to help illustrate the science stuff we were learning! I did it in math, too. I still remember the "characters" I had: Pika the Pikachu, Mary the Marril, Sprouts the Bellsprout, Bernie the Charmander, and a messed-up 'mon of my own making dubbed Freezair, who somehow became emblematic of all that I stand for on the Internet.
