Reminder: Mario Galaxy Deal At Toys'R'Us
Just a kick in the pants for those who intend to get Mario Galaxy this week and haven't bought it yet. If you've put it off for some reason, (for example, waiting on a paycheck, like me), Toys'R'Us is giving away a $25 gift certificate with every purchase. The deal ends tomorrow or when they run out. So call your local store to see if they have any left.
I just picked mine up today here in LA, and they had decent amount in stock. The card immediately went to getting me Final Fantasy Tactics for cheap. Also, I'm not 100% certain if this is a company-wide promotion, but I got a free Wii-mote glove as well. I'm not sure what exactly I'll do with it, since I have the Nyko Charger Station, but a freebie is a freebie!

The problem is, if you didn't preorder, you might be hosed.
I had arrived at the Toys R' Us on Tuesday at 1630 and picked up the last display case. Turns out they only had 4 "non-preordered" copies - and with the old couple in front of me taking two copies (arguing for 10 minutes with the clerk that "the ad says 'one per customer', not 'one per household'", and didn't give a care that there were others who wanted a copy).
I got the last copy, and was lucky to escape with my life. Sadly, I can't play it until Christmas, since it's a family present.
Not that I'm tempted to, um, test it out just to make sure it's not scratched or something....
Best Buy will match this offer. If you have the ad from Toys R' Us, they will honor the match. My friend did it at the BB store in Lewisville, TX.
I went into the one in Times Square and saw the large blank area on the shelf. I asked the guy and he said 'we're out'. This was Friday afternoon mind you. So I walked around and was looking at the end caps and there was one copy, upside down by itself.
The game is completely amazing.
While it might be a good deal, Toys R Us is on HRC's sh*tlist this year - they backslid into a 45/100 rating for queer friendliness. Gamestop, on the other hand scored a 100/100
