Rock Band Guitars Busted On The Downstrum?
The ever-delightful Dan Zuccarelli over at yonder BBPS passed along this possible SNAFU with the guitars that come with Rock Band. He found his guitar missing some notes on the downstrum while playing "machine-gun notes," or very fast series of notes. He did a little digging and found a whole mess of similar reports.
The problem seems to be cropping up both pre- and post-patch and on both platforms, but with higher reports on the Xbox 360 side of the equation. Whole series of notes played with nothing but upstrums worked just fine, but the fast downstrumming seems to be a bit of a problem. This might be another reason to eke out more fun with Guitar Hero III while waiting for clarification. I likes me downstrums.

No offense, but I can't stand the buttons and strum bar on the Rock Band Guitar. I'd prefer to use the Les Paul from GH3 or even the X-plorer from GH2
I too ran into this problem after an hour or so of play (360 Version). So far EA's exchange/return policy seems pretty simple and quick, but it is almost like they knew they were shipping faulty hardward.
At least my GHIII Les Paul works perfectly with the game.
No problems with mine so far(PS3 version) *knocks on wood*
However, I have only been playing on easy since I never played GH before. That might be my saving grace, atm. Hehe.
