Rock Band Street Date Broken - Lucky Sod!

There's been a lot of games recently that have had their street date broken by certain retailers. Most recently the lovely TexCub reported on Mass Effect hitting the streets before the official release date arrived.
Now the nice folk over at Kotaku have photographic evidence that Rock Band was sold to one lucky guy who walked into a Circuit City in the Phoenix area and walked out with one of the most eagerly anticipated games of the year.
The official release date for Rock Band is of course the 20th of this month, yet it seems some retailers are happy to break that if it means cash in their hands. Many turn green with envy at the thought of the lucky few who manage to get things early, I'm one of them. Good on 'AltDelete' for heading in to buy Super Mario Galaxy and walking out with something much cooler. There's plenty of pics of the opened box and contents right here.

Something much cooler? Nah..the Drum controller looks kinda lame, especially if you're used to Drum Mania's more realistic set. I just hope Konami gets a little credit here since..ya know..Red Octane must have gotten most..er..all their ideas from them.
Um...where are the No Doubt songs? And more Donnas songs? And perhaps a little Cobra Starship? Yeah...still don't care about Rock Band...
the store i just went to broke street date, we're setting up right now as i type this ^_^
