SingStore PS3 Is Cheaper Than Expected

For those wannabe singers in Europe and the UK, good news was revealed today by Sony. Downloadable songs bought through SingStar's PS3 store will be available for a mere 0.99GBP ($2US).
The service will be available when SingStar for the PS3 is released on the 7th of December and will feature a variety of funky songs, sure to appeal to most SingStar aficionados. Some band names being rumored about are Depeche Mode, Zutons and Manic Street Preachers - not bad for downloadable content.
The game itself features 30 new songs, but the SingStore will have another 44 availale for download. Sony are also likely to add content regularly and there will be an additional variety of songs available around the 17th of December, just in time for Christmas.
With the stand-alone game retailing for 29GBP (approx $55US) and the mic pack and game selling for around 49GBP (approx $100US), SingStar on PS3 will have many of us making complete idiots of ourselves this upcoming holiday season.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't PS3 games region free? Which means I could import this.
Hm....
Here's hoping the store launches with a decent catalogue of Cher, Madonna and Anastacia to fuel my inner stereotype!
