The Last Starfighter: The ARCADE!

TheLastStarfighter.jpg

"You have been chosen by the Star League..."

So, when I was a kid The Last Starfighter almost made me piddle myself. Lets face it, in the 80s 3D games were something that you almost never saw and everyone wanted to be a space captain like Han Solo (screw you Luke, you complain too much). Unfortunately, we never did see the game that was featured in this film. The reality of the situation was that the game was just a series of expensive pre-rendered videos much like Tron or the owl from the opening of Labyrinth.

Thank you, Rogue Synapse. Those crafty cats have decided to validate my childhood and make a homebrew version of this long forgotten wish. It is freely available from their webpage which unfortuantely is seeing quite a bit of traffic right now. Either way, daddy want.

Ah, good old Hans Solo, I prefer the German Han more as well. I love the part when he saves the von Trapp family from the Nazis. He also bakes a mean millenium strudel. LOL ;)

And girls who like girls who like rumble packs!
