I can't resist and I start to cry. It's so.. ah, I can't describe it, but definitively it's so beautiful, one of that videos that show how the videogames are an excellent way to comunication and recreation between a family's members.

My mom is awesome, she is a total gamer too! while she doesnt play console games, she can hold her own on handheld games, she loves her GBA SP. kind of wonder if she would like or make time for Animal Crossing? the plan is to get her a DS this xmas, might just have to consider Wild World now.

The "mother" in game sends you those letters. Those were not from his actual mom.

In the Game Cube's AC you can send letters between players (in the game, you can play 4 different characters).
However, it's true that your "virtual mom" send you constantly letters, but I think that clearly, in the video, with "mom" the author try to say that him mom's character send him all these letters.
That totally just made me start weeping at my desk.

Aww, I'm going to believe that the creator of that video wasn't mistaking the "Mom" character for his actual mom. That way it's poignant and sweet, instead of embarrassing and tragic.
Real-life mom or in-game mom, what difference does it make? I still cried like a little boy.

Whether they were presents from his actual mom or the "Mom" in the game, believe me, it didn't matter. It ripped his heart open either way, like any other emotional land mine you trip after someone's gone.
