Video: Momotarou Dentetsu 16 Gold Japanese Trailer
I have no idea what it is that I just watched, but I think I like it. Perhaps it's the look of it that reminds me of my Legend of the Mystical Ninja glory days? Could be, but this board game looks like it could be fun. According to Wikipedia, "Momotaro Dentetsu is a long-running board game-style video game series in Japan; in which players travel by rail, ship, and airplane; attempting to acquire wealth through business transactions buying properties; and dealing with rival entrepreneurs and nemeses such as the God of Poverty." The article goes on to say that the mechanics are often compared to Sugoroku and Monopoly.
I don't think that's a bad thing and I would most certainly like to give it a shot. Personally, I'm hoping this might make it over to the U.S., but I'm not going to hold my breath. Now, enjoy your 2 minutes and 22 seconds of Japanese weirdness. Oh, how I love it.

Hey Timsy, if you're interested in this one, check out Itadaki Street. It's a lot of fun (even if, as Americans, it'll feel slow to us with all of the translating we'll have to do). I got the DQ&FF colaboration one for PS2 and it may have been an impulse buy, but it's one of the ones I treasure greatly and delicately.
Nice, thanks for that heads up. I'll be hitting the internets in search of said game shortly. ^_^
