Wii Becomes Buddy-Buddy With Television

TV Guide for the Wii, let it be.

Apparently, the Wii is going to get a TV-Guide, of sorts, that allows happy Wii owners to browse through their local channel listings. From EvilAvatar:

The news comes from Nintendo's recent financial results briefing. The president of Nintendo commented that he wants the Wii to become a friend of the TV in the living room. This service will be available in Japan from Spring 2008.

The Avatar o' Evil have provided this flash movie this link that shows off what the TV Listing channel can do at the bottom of the page. Be warned, you will not be able to understand the speech unless you know Japanese. Anyways, this could be pretty spiffy if you want to see what's showing on TV but don't feel like turning off your Wii.
