Xbox 360 Fall Dashboard Update Coming December 4th

Set your calendars Xbox 360 owners. A new update is-a-comin'! One of the new features was just announced for this years Fall Dashboard Update. Unfortunately, it was the only one to leave the tight and firm lips of Microsoft. Anyways, that update I am talking about is called "Friends of Friends." The first thing I though of was the phrase, "Come friend of friends," from the Saturday Night Live animated series of shorts, Ace and Gary. Once again, I digress. The new feature will allow you to view the friends of your Xbox LIVE friends, but if you don't want your friends to be seen, you can certainly choose that option. Read on for the details:
Friends List Settings When the Fall Dashboard update is distributed on December 4, the new default setting on Xbox LIVE will be active, enabling members to see the Friends lists of other Xbox LIVE members. If you'd like to keep your friends list private, you can take the following steps to change your settings beginning today:Log in to www.xbox.com/fof and select one of the three options available for your Gamertag:
- Everyone (only available to members 18 and older)
- Friends only (available to members 13 and older)
- Blocked (available to all members, and automatic for anyone under the age of 13)
MajorNelson notes that when the update hits, the default setting will be "Everyone," provided you are 18 and older. We hope to bring you more information on the other features as they become available. Stay tuned! Check out the press release by hitting the link.
