Dad Sells Son's Guitar Hero III For Over 9 Grand

One Canadian father came home to his 15 year old son smokin' tha ganja, and sold his Wii copy of Guitar Hero III on eBay for over $9000. The game was to be his son's Christmas present, but when he was caught in the backyard with two of his friends passing around the peace pipe, that present turned into a cash cow for the whole family.
The father had spent two weeks searching for the game and later posted on eBay:
"So I was so relieved in that I had finally got the Holy Grail of Christmas presents pretty much just in the nick of time. I couldn't wait to spread the jubilance to my son, then, yesterday, I came home from work early and what do I find? My innocent little boy smoking pot in the back yard with two of his delinquent friends."
He sold the game to punish his son and discourage him from smokin' the pot. Once the game hit the marketplace, the bids skyrocketed and eventually sold to an Australian who bought the game for $9,100.
The father who wishes to remain anonymous is still planning on getting his son something for Christmas.
"I am still considering getting him a game for his Nintendo. Maybe something like Barbie as the Island Princess or Dancing with the Stars ... I know he will just love them."
At least the guy has a sense of humor about the whole mess, and a fat wallet to match.
Thanks James for the tip! You're the best

"Dad" is just a scalper who knows he can sell a story, guaranteed.
I'm glad to know I wasn't the only one who read "wants to remain anonymous" and thought "scalper." I'm anxious to see how this story plays out.
I doubt the winning bid is real. This hit Fark last week, if I recall, and I'm sure someone there would find it funny to fake bid it.
He's a scalper because he wants to remain anonymous on ebay? EVERYONE is anonymous on ebay.
You're probably right, Sausagepants. The bid is, after all, OVER NINE THOUSAND!
It is that time of the year again. This type of thing seems to have become tradition.
This story expresses everything that is wrong with the Christmas season...and exactly why I started boycotting it nearly ten years ago...
