Dwight Little To Direct Tekken Adaptation

Dwight Little (Rapid fire, Murder at 1600) has been chosen to direct the film adaption of Namco's long running fighter series, Tekken. I wonder if it will wind up being just another Dead or Alive...ewww. Here's what Mr. Little has to say about his new movie:
"The film plays out as a science fiction story set in the near future, about a rebel who rises up against the Tekken Corp. to seize freedom for his people. It's a gladiator story, but the videogame has a complicated enough storyline that it provides the template for a martial arts spectacular."
DarkHorizons informs us that production will start on February 4th in Shreveport, Louisiana. The script is by Alan McElroy and the film is being financed by Crystal Sky Pictures. Best of luck folks. At the very least, if it's hilariously bad, I'll go see it. Anything less than that and those chances go down significantly. ...but let's just wait and see what happens, first.
Little Helms "Tekken" Adaptation [DarkHorizons]

Wow, crazy. I actually work in Shreveport. I wonder who I have to sleep with for the chance to be an extra?
They always say they have so much material to work on. Then they take an entirely unrelated script, something like a reject from Runaway Bride, and try and make it fit. Case in point: Street Fighter The Movie (and Street Fighter The Movie The Game).
The tekken anime was pretty crappy, too, but at least it didn't make Kazuya a wedding planner and Jack-2 a cocktail waiter...
TEKKEN MOVIE:GO TO HELL.
This Tekken movie is going to be a bad movie and I don't like the ideas on the director and the screenwriters and I'm very pissed off with Namco and the film makers of this movie,th efuturastic storyline get the hell out of here,Tekken Corp, all false this is just
bulls##t and I think a Asian director could be a good director to make the Tekken movie.
Oh well if this is the Hollywood idea then it's going to suck.
Thank You.
