EA Apologizing For Delayed Rock Band Guitars With Free Game
Well, I guess EA really wants you to like this Rock Band thing. After word broke that some guitars lost their ability to downstrum, they started sending out replacements right away, leaving it up to the customer to send the broken guitar back after the new one showed up. Unfortunately some delays prevented a small number of customers from getting their replacement guitars right away, but rather than just shrugging their shoulders and going back to texting their boyfriends, EA's giving out a free game to those affected by the delay.

See, no petitions, no angry posts on Consumerist, no explosion on the GameFAQs forum - it's rather proactive for a company that hasn't always listened to customer complaints. Specific information is scarce right now, so there's no word if they'll just be shoving some Superman Returns overstock in a box and shipping it out or giving the customers a choice on what they can pick. For their sake, I hope it's the latter.

wow - something tells me they're feelin' the hurt from losing their #1 spot to Assholevision (yes, i'm bitter about the whole guitar compatiblilty thing)...
if this is the new EA, i won't feel so bad giving them my money for the new Burnout...
