Free Themes, Gamer Pics Alongside Xbox Originals

gift.jpg

Just as promised, Microsoft rolled out the December '07 dashboard update in the early AM today. It's hard to believe that such a small sized update packs so many features, but here they are staring me in the face. As we have mentioned previously, original Xbox titles have made their debut and are looking quite appealing to me. I will be the first to admit that I have missed some great Xbox games by not owning an original Xbox and now I can begin to get a taste of what I have been missing and get free stuff!

Whether or not you're completely sold on the idea of digital distribution of Xbox titles, there is an incentive for you to explore the offerings. Alongside each of the Xbox titles you will find free themes and gamer pictures, just for taking the initiative to check things out.

Unfortunately, I'm low on Microsoft points at the moment, so Psychonauts will have to wait until Friday. See any of your favorites here? What would you like to see released in the coming months?

Debut titles available now:

  • Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex

  • Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge

  • Fable

  • Fuzion Frenzy

  • Halo: Combat Evolved

  • Indigo Prophecy

  • Psychonauts

I recommend Psychonauts. It's an extremely good platforming title.

That post lacks love for Indigo Prophecy. Psychonauts is fun and all, but drags in the end...wait, I guess that's just like Indigo Prophecy. Nevermind.

It's not that I don't love the other titles, Game-Boi! I just don't know them and don't know where to start!

I was really let down by Psychonauts. On the other hand I think Indigo prophecy is godly despite the minor flaws near the end. The amount of options is just amazing and while not changing the actual plot much it does open different scenarios so no one game turns out the same.
