Guitar Hero and Call of Duty To Be Recycled...Yearly, No Blizzzard Games On Consoles

Many, it would seem, were less than "ecstatic" over the news of Activision Blizzard's birth. Jebuz knows what that smelled like in person. Now, an announcement has come down from on high that Call of Duty and Guitar Hero are to be relegated to yearly sequels a la the Madden series and the rest of EA's primary stable of games. ...and you all know how much we despise those "games" here at the castle, especially Madden.
I truly hope that Activision Blizzard take good care of how they will handle this yearly release cycle for these games, especially Guitar Hero. In other words, don't just churn out the same damn thing with different songs on it. Be sure you spice it up with REAL content, not just new songs. Even that might get old. Fortunately, the developers now have their hands on the full Universal Music Group catalog, so that might be kinda nifty.
That's all there is to read on that. Oh yeah, No Blizzard games on consoles for now. Sorry.
New CoD and Guitar Hero coming 'on an annual basis' [VideoGamer]

I feel a great disturbance in the Force... As if millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror, and were suddenly silenced. I fear something terrible has happened.
Alderaan was destroyed?
Oh, you mean Activion Blizzard.
Well, you know what I say: Activision Blizzard is AB, just a step away from AE, just a step away from EA.
Well, Alderaan WAS destroyed.
But I meant more along the lines of yearly CoD and Guitar Hero. I really don't want to try to sell Guitar Hero: Proving Ground and Call of Duty: That One Where the Guys Shoot the Other Guys come next year. Not so much wanting to do this.
