JT Sues Omaha Police Chief
In case you missed this a few weeks ago, a disturbed young man named Robert Hawkins went into an Omaha mall and killed eight people with an automatic rifle. Naturally, everyone's favorite bottom-feeding attorney from Florida has -try to contain your surprise- linked the Grand Theft Auto games to Hawkins's actions. Of course, the link has yet to be discovered by anyone else. Never mind the fact that Hawkins had a proven history of mental problems, was put into a psychiatric hospital twice, and happened to be on more antidepressants than Amy Winehouse; Jack Thompson knows that video games were to blame, dammit!
Well, guess what? Apparently we aren't the only ones to miss the link between Hawkins and games, as the Omaha police department has decided to ignore Thompson's theories. Of course, because JT is incapable of dropping anything which might get him even a few more moments in the media's spotlight, he is now suing the Omaha Police Chief Thomas Warren. Why? Don't you know that disregarding Thompson's insane theories now puts people at risk???
Anyone in law enforcement who does not understand or care to understand the direct causal link between violent video game play and these types of random killing events is living in a dream world of his or her own construction…The defendant Police Chief of Omaha, apparently learning nothing from more than a decade of such incidents linked to violent video games, refuses to provide to Thompson, nor apparently to anyone else, the inventory list of items taken, by search warrant, from Robert Hawkins’ residence.
Thompson has served a written request, pursuant to Nebraska Statute 84-712, upon Police Chief Thomas Warren, and he refuses to comply with his legal duty, under Nebraska law, to provide the inventory.
You know... with the Writers' Strike lasting as long as it has, maybe we should give Thompson a reality show where he files a nonsensical lawsuit and gets laughed out of court every week. Hey, it couldn't be any worse that Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

Silly? I did this in the Columbus, Ohio, highway shootings case, and the prosecutor Ron O'Brien was so impressed by the role of GTA in the shootings that he made the GTA causal link part of the plea agreement.

The real Jack Thompson would have made a homophobic comment, this is just a pale imitation, I am disappointed.
So this idiot just preys on real tragedies and peoples suffering to further his own agenda? That is disgusting.
I would say the reason that the Chief dosn't release it (not knowing American law myself) is because he JT is not involved in the case in any way, therefor this information is not needed by him.
And more then likely the Chief knows that this guy will just make this whole thing harder on the families that have already suffered without making a laughing stock of their grief.
Here is a new crusade Jack slightly more plausible one to be on:
Cigarettes and Alcohol have been in the vicinity of 100% of murders at some point in their life.
That should be slightly easier to prove.

So what's going with that disbarment hearing? Has anybody heard anything about it? And if it's going on, has anybody told the bar about this? I'm sure they'd like to find out.

Last we heard, the judge was still deciding on the verdict. I believe he has until after the New Years to rule.
How does Jack have so much time for all of this shit?
