Namco Bandai Launches Culdcept Saga on Xbox Live

Culdcept Saga

Namco Bandai announced today that the Culdcept Saga demo is now available on the Xbox Live Marketplace. To the uninitiated, the game is a trading card, luck\stratagy board game hybrid with monsters, equipment, spells and everything else you can possibly imagine in an RPG. In the full game, players will be able to trade over 400 monster, equipment and spell cards, play online or locally with up to four player.

The demo is pretty beefy, but full featured. Players are able to play both single and local multiplayer modes using a variety of pre-made decks. No card trading or live multiplayer support has been included.

The full release is scheduled for February 5, 2008 for a suggested retail price of $39.99. Hey, it's about $20 cheaper than a typical Xbox title, so all you CCG and board game fans out there should give it a try.

Press release after the jump.

Demo for Unique Trading Card and Board Game Hybrid Hits Xbox LIVE with Single and Multiplayer Modes

SANTA CLARA, Calif., (December 5, 2007) – NAMCO BANDAI Games America announced today that a free Culdcept™ SAGA demo is now available for download on Xbox LIVE® Marketplace for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft. Culdcept SAGA combines the luck and strategy of a board game with the depth of a trading card game to create a unique fusion of traditional turn-based play.
