Time's Top 10 Games... Are They Yours?

If it's the end of the year, it must be time for the traditional best-of lists that magazines and TV shows love so very, very much. Time Magazine has released its top 10 lists for every category under the sun, and under technology, they've listed their top 10 games of 2007. I was intrigued to peruse their list and see what kinds of games a mainstream, hoity-toity publication like Time would consider the "best."
1. Halo 3 (for its refined gameplay)
2. The Orange Box (for the value of so many games in one)
3. Rock Band (for the fun of the unique experience)
4. Super Mario Galaxy (for the new spin on Mario games)
5. BioShock (for its rich storytelling and style)
6. Call Of Duty 4 (for its realism)
7. Legend Of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass (for fitting such an epic adventure on a tiny cartridge)
8. Mass Effect (for its compelling narrative... and alien sex)
9. Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation (for its fast-paced flying and visuals)
10. God Of War 2 (for being good, even on the PS2)
Well, it's all about what you'd expect. Well, aside from some of their weird justifications. Though I'm surprised BioShock didn't place higher. I can't fault their number one choice because I've never played Halo 3. (Tried the first one back in the day and never quite got the appeal) But is Call Of Duty 4 really that good? Aren't we tired of war games yet? And I don't know anybody who plays Ace Combat anymore, so that was a complete surprise. In case you can't tell, I'm just throwing in my own opinion just to stir you up. I'm sure you all have plenty of opinions of your own. Commence commenting!

Hate to be a ballbuster, but isn't Call of Duty 4 not about WWII, but rather modern warfare?
You are correct, sir. Thank you for busting my balls. I am easily confused. All those war games blend for me. The article has been altered appropriately. My bad!
What really makes the Ace Combat this go-round is the controllers for the 360-- a set of toys well worth having, one joystick and a yoke and plenty of buttons. The accessories make the gameplay swim in way previous incarnations really haven't.
Speaking as someone who is currently playing CoD4 after hating CoD3... GOOD TIMES. It fully deserves the honors. It's one of the best FPSs I've played in a long time. My one complaint is that it still plays by the old CoD rules. Endless streams of baddies until you pass a certain point.
you're doing yourself a huge disservice if you write COD4 of as just another war game. it definitely deserves all the praise it's gotten.

@Wootini:
It's all good.
COD4 is that good. The best FPS I've played this year. (that includes the underwhelming Halo 3)
Anyone else think the Russian nuclear silo level was a big tribute to Goldeneye? Maybe I'm just obsessed.
