Video: Rez HD Area 2
Is it possible Rez is a game that came too soon? I mean, I have fond memories of playing an imported copy on my Dreamcast, sitting in the dark, wearing headphones, but now, with our Geometry Wars and Everyday Shooters, will more people "get" Rez today than 6 years ago? It seems perfect for systems that can display high definition visuals and 5.1 sound, or even the point and shoot controls of the Wii. As of right now, Rez HD is due early-ish next year on XBLA, and hopefully it will sell a little bit better than Frogger.

i can`t wait to experience this one!
To me, Rez is one of those shining examples of what makes Sega awesome. The abstractions and the philosophy that went into various aspects of the game step into the literate realm. When your avatar turns into a floating figure in a lotus position, you've got to know something's up!

So is this just the original with improved graphics or something?
I recently found the original (well the PS2 version) on Amazon and unless this one provides new content, I don't see why I should get it as well.
Nexus - So far they've announced no content updates to the game. The changes are making it widescreen, upping the resolution, and putting in 5.1 sound. Since it will be downloadable from XBLA, I imagine the capability exists to add levels later via an expansion pack, but it's way too early to speculate about that.
