Xbox 360 To Get Motion Controls?
Rumors abound on the internet that Microsoft is researching motion control technology for improvements to the Xbox 360 controller. Initially an image of a supposed 'protoype' was also being circulated, but it turned out to be an early model for the Wii Remote. However, the rumor has led to real information being released!
TeamXbox.com can confirm that Microsoft has been researching alternative input technologies for the last two years, including vision-based recognition such as the one used on Xbox Live Vision, as well as motion sensing technologies similar to those seen in the Microsoft Freestyle Pro and the PlayStation 3 SIXAXIS.Particularly, Microsoft has looked at ways to improve the right analog stick input and you’ll hear more about those efforts soon.
More information will be forthcoming in the new year, apparently. I'm always interested in new control methods, but I can't help but worry any motion sensing stuff will seemed tacked on.

lol what a joke M$ are. three years late, chumps.
I love how people say the Wii's motion controls were gimmicky from the start, and now, what are Sony and Microsoft doing? Thats correct, motion controls.
Oh god...and here I went to the 360 to escape poorly thought out, obviously tacked on motion controls that ruins games on PS3 and Wii.
And remember, boys and girls, that it means that games with motion cotrol schemas could more easily be ported, most likely from the PS3, I'd imagine, since the other inputs would be so similar.
