Xbox Live Threat Leads To Campus Arrest

Though I may have gotten an earful of racist comments while playing Rock Band this morning, I just take off my headset for the match and file a complaint. I can handle trash talking, but there is definitely a line that you should not be crossing. I've maybe retorted to a few taunts with colorful language myself, but making threats of shooting up your school? That is so crazy that I'm surprised anyone would be new enough to do it, but that's just what 19-year-old Allieu Shaw of Gaithersburg, VA did in an online Call of Duty 4 match. After a fellow player alerted authorities, they were able to work with Microsoft to locate the player and make the arrest.
According to court records, Shaw was playing the game "Call of Duty 4" on the XBOX Live gaming system with players around the country when he allegedly stated the threat of "shooting up the school." The statement reportedly contained a description from Shaw concerning "how he was going to do it."
Ladies and gentlemen, that's how you get arrested playing COD4. Enjoy your banhammer, Mr. Shaw!
