Animal Crossing! Wii!!

That sound y'all heard just now? That was me letting out a big girlie squeal upon learning that Nintendo let slip the names of some previously-unannounced game titles in an investor report. There's a Kirby game set for 2008, but the one that really got my pulse racing is Animal Crossing. Oh, yeah, that's the stuff right there.
Sure, it's dated for 2008 in Japan, which means who knows when it might show up in the US, but would it be unrealistic for me to dream that I might be moving into my new town and making friends with needy animals while falling heavily into debt to good ol' Tommy Nook by Christmastime? Probably, but it won't stop me from dreaming! The friend codes are going to be a pain, but visiting everyone else's towns like in the DS version is going to be a blast. And I'm hoping they'll find more activities beyond fishing, digging, and shaking trees for the Wiimote. Ooh, they'd better not screw this one up!

I don't really care how long this game takes to come out (assuming of course that it doesn't take forever). My big concern is whether or not there will be a lot of new features and content over the obvious easier wifi connection inclusion.
If this game shows the same lack of innovation as each successive pokemon game has, I'm going to be terribly disappointed.
Yeah Jack I agree. I was excited about the DS Animal Crossing until I played it and realized it was practically the same as the previous one. They really need to overhaul this game to make it fun again! Because I remember having a blast with the original, and there's a lot of potential for a Wii version if they do it right. =D
wootini, i can't wait until Leo and I can come terrorize your town with gayness just like the good old days of Animal Crossing DS!!!!
I was addicted to Animal Crossing on the GameCube for a good couple days, possibly even a week. It stole my sleep, and I played it for hours on end. Then I realized that nothing was really happening, and I was just digging up the same fossils, catching the same fish and bugs, and nothing was changing. At that point, the game came to a screeching halt, and I stopped playing. Haven't had any desire to play since. As others have said, they have the potential to create one seriously awesome game if they come up with some more activities, and make the game progression a bit more streamlined. I'll wait and see, but I hope Nintendo comes through with this one. Oh, and improved graphics never hurt. ;)
Wootini, your girlie squeal for this game was just drowned out by my girlie scream for this game.
I.
Can't.
Wait.
I've been playing AC:WW for almost a year now and never tire of playing it every day. There's always something new and interesting to do and new goals to accomplish. I've gayed up my town pretty good too with leather harnesses and gay t-shirts for the animal to wear. My main room is a gay bar and disco. I have a gay bath house in another room with a nude male painting.
There's a great adult section on the Animal Crossing Community website for adult gamers who play this game.
I don't have a Wii but this might be the game to push me over the edge to buy one. I do hope the game has new gameplay. I really don't just want to rebuild and entire town from scratch all over again doing all the same tasks.
If anyone is still playing AC:WW and would like to trade Friend Codes to visit towns, give me a shout out here.
