Another Cancellation, Blue Dragon DS Slain

We had heard rumblings of a Blue Dragon jaunt on the Nintendo DS in the form of a collectible card game tentatively titled Blue Dragon Plus. Well, Jeux France is reporting that the Mistwalker helmed property will not be coming to the DS after all. Production had begun with a planned March release, but it is now delayed and no release window has been giving, effectively shelving it indefinitely. No specific reasons were given for this, but I suspect it had something to do with low sales of the Xbox 360 outing following a lackluster demo. While I won't go far as to say, "Never," but I wouldn't go holding your dragon breath until you turn blue.

I don't know if many people will care... DS is flooded with top-notch RPGs, we really won't cry for the loss of one middling RPG franchise.
Fact of the matter is, this seems little more than a cynical way to extend a stillborn IP to a thriving platform in hopes of reviving its saggy ass. Isn't Blue Dragon partly owned by M$ anyway (and since when were they relevant to DS?)? We Don't Want It, Never Did.
No lost sleep here. A Card Collection RPG Cancelled? HAH!
Good.
Now maybe Mistwalker will make a real rpg instead.
