Rumorama: Bioshock Could Get A Prequel

After the success of Bioshock, many gamers were left wanting to explore the world of Rapture even further. Folks from Take-Two have gone on record stating they would like to see this game turned into a franchise, one that would receive a release every two years. It seems only natural after the overwhelmingly positive critical and fan reception of the game.
Apparently graphic design and plot are 2K's main focus at the moment, and many have suggested the game will be set before the events of the original during the fall of Rapture, set in the 1940's when the utopia began to unravel. This would be a great way to revisit the world, where the original game was desolate save for a slew of splicers. Imagine walking into a functioning world where there are more characters going about their daily business, reinforcing the utopian theme of the main game while establishing Rapture as a living environment. The plot seems so insular, it would be difficult to move forward in the timeline after the events of the original game, but a third in the series may tread such ground.
While the reception was very positive, there is always room for improvement. What would you like to see in upcoming Bioshock sequels/prequels? Anything you would change about the experience?
BioShock Prequel in the Works? [Next Generation]

If they played it where you get first hand look at the rival politics that developed, that would be great; like you can undertake missions ala' Deus Ex for either faction and be rewarded with better powers.
And surviving the New Years party massacre. That would be EPIC.
That would be so awesome, to move about and interact with the citizens of Rapture while the city was actually in a functioning state. To see the political friction and rising dependence on splicing reach the level it did to cause the destruction seen in Bioshock could make for some really interesting story and gameplay possibilities.
I didn't like this bit of the article:
"while it has also been speculated that BioShock creator and director Ken Levine will not be involved in the project."
WTF? How could he not be involved? That just doesn't make sense.
A sequel would be easy to do.
You'd just have to take the bad ending as canon.
