CES 2008: PSP Getting A Keyboard, Too!
Ever since I bought my big old clunker of a PSP, I've despised entering in text with its ridiculous interface. Oh, sure, there was the novelty of trying to surf the web with the little gaming unit, but I quickly got bored of swearing like a sailor (and passersby kept looking at me funny when they saw me cussing at my hands) and moved on to occasionally playing games on it once in a blue moon.
However, it seems that Sony has finally clued into the fact that people hate the PSP's text entry. Yes, boys and girls, the nebulous gods over at SCEA have answered the angry prayers of gamers by promising us a shiny new keyboard which we will be able to attach to the system. And, no, before you start griping about how ugly it is, the picture is of someone's homebrewed setup.
SCEA reps also revealed today a welcome surprise for PSP owners weary of its cell-phone-like text entry system. They confirmed that Sony is working on a first-party keyboard for the handheld gaming system for release in mid-2009. When asked if said keyboard will resemble the mock-up that was shown off at the 2005 Electronic Entertainment Expo, the reps demurred. "We're looking at several designs, but can't tell you anything more specific," a rep said.
Great, so, the keyboard will be surfacing exactly how many years after the system launched? Thanks, Sony.

Cool, I never liked using the PSP's buttons to input text either. But really, the system just doesn't have what it takes for serious web browsing. I find that half the pages I try to open give me an error and refuse to open fully, or they take a year to open and don't support the same features as they normally would.
As i said dis is Pinky noogah!!!! Wher ma weed..aneew-way bak to this shit! Iv been sellin the P-S-PEE keyboard for years noogahhh! Pinkyz is where tiz at! Stupid Dada and Roach.. muthafuuckas cant tell the difference between A and B noogahh! Anybody want a job reply to me! So this new shit is bullshit! drop into pinkys i'll give u a keyboard for da P-S-PEE...gimme sum weed and have it for $10.00. another fucking thing.. don't eat in ma store!!! my 9 is loaded and i'll blow ur head smooooth oaafth!
