Corrections Make Kittens Cry: Wii to Download Demo Only.

This situation seems to be getting wildly out of control. Earlier our Sgt. SausagePants reported that the Nintendo DS will be able to download full games. Well, it turns out that Nintendo has rebutted one of the news outlets releasing this information. I'm not sure who was wrong in this article, but apparently there was a LOT of wrong going on. Nintendo released another correction to an already over patched news post made by the New York Times.
An article about the Nintendo DS video game system in the Dec. 31 Business Day section of the New York Times incorrectly referred to future capabilities of the device. The statement that complete Nintendo DS games will eventually be able to be downloaded into the device via a wireless connection with the company's Wii game console is incorrect. Users can download games to play on Wii, and, in the future, the Nintendo DS will be able to receive demo versions of some DS games from Wii, but not the entire game. The demo will be erased once the Nintendo DS is turned off.
So, we get a download station at home. I guess it's better than running to game stop, but still, what happened to the DS Vision project?
Nintendo: Full DS Games Not Coming to Wii After All [Kotaku]

Well, shame on me for thinking the New York Times might actually deliver credible news.
Anyone who bought Geometry Wars and has a DS already knew this.
The demo with that game erased from your ds the moment you turned it off.
The crappy part? Yeah, you couldn't do anything else with the DS while the demo is on it. So... the whole service, if the Geometry Wars demo is any indication, isn't really that great. But hey, at least the demo was fun.
I never really expected full DS games to be available, but I thought that they were moving forward with VC games that could be saved using an M3 card. I just want some GB, GBC games that I can carry around. I want to give them more money, really I do, but sometimes they make it so hard.
DS Vision is actually a third-party thing, albeit a fully licensed third-party thing unlike the Datel, M3, Supercard, etc.
Also, what does "Nintendo has found an effecting article and rebutted one of news outlets" mean? Better be careful or you'll start sounding like the New York Times.
What makes me chuckle about this whole thing is how people actually believed what the New York Times had to say about video games. Add this to the heap of other reasons why the New York Times just sucks now.
