Deca Sports For Nintendo Wii - Hudson Brings Us Summer Sports

beachvolleyball.jpeg

Love feeling like you're exercising when you're playing Wii Sports? Well for all the armchair sports lovers out there, the news from Hudson Entertainment is sure to put a smile on your face.

From the the summer of 2008, you'll be able to play ten new sporting events on your Wii. The events included in the upcoming title Deca Sports will include: Beach Volleyball, Snowboard Cross, Badminton, Basketball, Curling, Figure Skating, Archery, Supercross, Soccer and Kart Racing. Yes, your guess is as good as mine as to how the figure skating is going to work well on the Wii, but still at least it's something different and sounds like it could be fun.

The developers are proudly stating that Deca Sports will offer something unique to the Wii system and have explained some of the gameplay to whet the appetite of any Wii lover around. The Wiimote is simply swung around in volleyball to either spike or hit the ball whereas in figure skating players have to jump and spin to the music and the Wii will judge them on how well they keep time. The football section (or soccer to those in the US) sounds interesting also, where you actually have to kick the ball and line up shots as you would with a real ball. It can all be played on single player or multiplayer and is sure to be a must have title for anyone who loves using the Wii for it's original intention - making you look stupid as you wiggle around in front of your TV.
