Gamers Lower Amazon Rating

Recently we got to see Cooper Lawrence make a complete ass of herself on Fox News when she went on a tirade about the sex in Mass Effect, but admitted to never playing the game. Smart move there, toots. This coming from a self-proclaimed psychologist. She obviously needed to do a little homework before going on national news blasting one of the highest profile games of the past year.
In true gamer fashion, the community did not take this lying down. Armed with Amazon accounts and the listing for her self-help book, Chicken Soup For the Clueless Soul The Cult of Perfection: Making Peace with Your Inner Overachiever gamers nearly spammed the review of the book with one star ratings to lower her overall score to a star and a half. Check the reviews for yourself, there are 170 one star reviews so far, and I imagine they are mostly gamers. If not, she might want to think about re-evaluating her writing career.
Gamers Trash Amazon Rating [Aeropause]

It's a Raid of 4chan size. LOL
this is totally a gamer rebuttal. I find myself actually laughing out loud at how her methods of "research" are replicated. will be a shame if Amazon ends up pulling any of them. it really serves her right for making a fool of herself on national television.
One of the things that's been pointed out about Jacky Boy (you son of a bitch) was that his antics managed to take the normally disorganized and divided gaming community and unite it in one common cause. Whereas gamers have split themselves into camps over genres, platforms, series, brand loyalty, etc.; and then fight brutally over these lines, everyone was united to see the idiot brought down.
It seems this can hold true to any outside force that attempts to threaten gaming. However, once dealt with, it's back to bullshit as usual.
Ohhh man it's down to 1 star now. Some of those reviews are killer.
It's wonderfully fun ^_^
It also reveals a vulnerable spot in the hide of the hideous beast that is Fox News.
Sure, being able to criticize Fox News on its own programming may be nigh-impossible over the ranting; however, the Fox News defensive-wall-of-ranting (which should surely be in D&D 4th Ed. as a spell) only reaches as far as its own programmable borders. Outside of its comfy we-dictate-reality studios, it's open season, discourse style!
Can't say that it's undeserved. I mean, if she can go on TV and talk about something she's never played, why shouldn't gamers be able to get on amazon and trash something they never read?
Don't stop at Amazon. Why not go to Barnes and Noble.com and give her a thrashing there as well.
Vindictive much? Gonna check out Amazon.
Hahaha, look at the customer images.
Hahaha! This is priceless!
I don't usually support vandalism, especially not in the form of spam, but this woman definitely deserves the financial slap the face the one-star rating of her book is.
I do, however, feel slightly sorry for the book itself... ;-) or not.
Her show has a myspace page too: http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendID=90490730
In other news, she has a radio show.
Aww. I missed it.
Went ahead and tagged it a few times though.
Seems like all the reviews got deleted, or something's wrong with this computer. A real pity.
A lot of those reviews are actually quite humorous, something I was not expecting.
Not deleted because there are almost 400 one star reviews!!! She really should do research and speak the truth on TV - no one likes a liar. Well done to all those who did it!
lol pay back's a bitch huh. too funny
