Gizmodo Loves The Shaft

At this year's CES, Gizmodo managed to get their hands on many things. One of these things was..."The Shaft." They liked it, too. Here's what they thought of it:
The Shaft felt good. The black version had a more rubberized texture, while the white Shaft we tried out was silky smooth. We found both to our liking, and the multi-assignable turbo button is perfect for when you want some quick play. Hit the jump for a bonus "shot."
The Shaft is a gaming peripheral that allows for arcade style controls on the Wii in case you prefer that to moving your whole body around. It could certainly work for some, would it work for you? Do you want to place your hands on The Shaft? Oh, in case you are wondering how big The Shaft is, "it is approximately 6 inches x 11 inches." You can find more details on their official website.

Now if only there are some decent games on the Wii where I could put it to good use..
@Norgo: [eyeroll] Really? I hate list posts, but...
Gradius, Xevious, Galaga, Star Soldier (Super as well), R-type III, Street Fighter II, Gradius III, Gunstar Heroes, Contra III, Streets of Rage 1-3, Alien Storm, Blazing Lasers, *Fatal Fury*, and *King of Fighters 94*. These are all games that are "decent" and are greatly improved with a stick controller.
While the name isn't nearly as clever, I've been enjoying Hori's Fighting Stick for Wii. It's got a good weight to it, and perfect for a lot of VC games. While Shumps and fighters are great, almost as a rule 64 games are hand-cramping unplayable. But maybe Sin and Punishment wasn't supposed to be able to played with this type of controller.
