Guitar Hero Penetrates $1 Billion Barrier

It's no secret that Guitar Hero has proven to be a massive success in North America. It has been so successful, in fact, that total sales for the Guitar Hero franchise have exceeded $1 billion dollars (without adding in revenue from the songs) on the continent.
The NPD Group released numbers putting total unit sales at over 14 million. Since Guitar Hero III's release, 5 million songs have been downloaded. These songs typically cost "$6.25 for a three-song pack or $2.50 for individual songs." As you can see, things begin to add up really fast, especially given the bundle's cost. Sounds like somebody is rolling in money. Good job!
