iPhone and iPod Touch SNES Emulator Coming Soon

A good NES/SNES emulator has long been a craving waiting to be satisfied for iPhone and, more recently, iPod Touch users. In an attempt to quench that thirst for older games, zodttd has coded a native application, SNES4iPhone, for said devices that emulates the SNES and subsequently allows you to play games for it. It's still in its infancy and has some notable slow down, but it does look pretty good.
Now, I wonder how will it handle fast paced games that often require the pushing of multiple buttons at a fast rate? Who knows. I notice that in the F-Zero demo, his engines keep "sparking" as though they are starting up. This leads me to believe that the gentleman playing is repeatedly pressing the button to accelerate. I could be wrong, though. Having played with an iPhone many times, I find it difficult to believe that such games would be enjoyable. However, RPGs would find a nice home here. Chrono Trigger being played in the above video serves as a prime example of this. I'm sure that as the person behind this emulator continues his work, the emulator will definitely improve. By the way, if you aboslutely must get your hands on it now, you can acquire it by making a small donation here. http://www.engadget.com/2008/01/22/iphone-and-ipod-touch-nab-snes-emulation/
If you want to see it in action, make the jump. We've got some footage of The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, F-Zero, Chrono Trigger, Tales of Phantasia, Beavis & Butthead, Donkey Kong Country 2, Super Mario World (I love all, except for Beavis & Butthead). Now onward to classic gaming!

Fast-paced games that rely on accuracy and timing never emulate properly, even on high-end systems the difference to consoles is pretty obvious unless you haven't played the original.
Other than that, there are SNES emulators for just about any console and computer aside from the SNES itself, so I only opened this post to watch some 16-Bit-action (and listen to 8-Bit Tunes, as it were) which I'm currently kinda missing out on, since my zodiac bailed out on me. Got it a brand spanking new battery and now the bloody charge/sync cable is broken. Darnit! Damn you Tapwave and your inability to tap the european market before your untimely demise!
I think I found a reason to buy an iPhone now.
i assume you have to "jailbreak" your iphone to get this to run.
eep.
