Kojima Guarantees MGS4 Is Almost Done

In the latest podcast from the Kojima Productions Report Associate Producer Ryan Payton announced that Metal Gear Solid 4 is almost done and will not miss the second quarter window for release. Missing the originally stated 2007 release had many fanboys' manties in a bunch. Fear no more fellas, pull that pair our your crack, 'cause we will be getting the game before the gaming year is half over. Payton assures us Kojima has promised to deliver the game on schedule,
"Mr. Kojima, of all people, is committed to it, because he really hates to disappoint people. And I know that he is embarrassed by what happened with the 2007 slip into 2008."
Payton stated, "We are on the eve of entering the bug-checking phase, which means that we're pretty far along." Addressing and squashing all of those pesky bugs may take some time, but they should be all taken care of by release. They still have to work on some things like the opening cinematic, but the game can be played from start to finish at this point.
No hard date has been set yet for launch, but when it hits, it will be an almost simultaneous worldwide release. The game will not be released on the same date in every territory, but it should follow the kind of distribution Halo 3 had where they were on shelves around the world in the same week.
A last little tidbit that should make the fanboys squeal with swine-like joy, you will be able to pause any and all cinematics at any time. So don't worry about busting that bladder when you are presented with the denoument of the game, simply pause and release your precious fluids.
